After 17 years in this sport and 5 years competing for Notre Dame Fencing, I've experienced fencing at the highest levels—representing both university and country. But I've also seen what's missing.
While other sports have embraced data-driven training, performance analytics, and modern tools, fencing remains stuck in the past. Coaches rely on intuition where they could use insights. Athletes train blind where they could train smart.
